Fashion is an ever growing and changing entity. New styles and trends keep kicking in and out. What matters is that you stay in harmony with what its offering.
We spend hours in shopping and finding new styles for the season, but what happens to the old ones sitting inside your wardrobe? Some of them, of course, cannot be worn because they are way out of style and need to be discarded. For that you need to be well aware of the styles that you are not supposed to follow this season.
The idea of overall denims seemed to be fair. Wearing denim shrugs and jackets not only made you look cool but it also created a style statement in those days. But this summer, try to avoid these old-fashioned garments because they no longer do justice to your outfit.
With your wardrobe getting filled with palazzos, I think it is time to keep your traditional long skirts away. With changing lifestyles of women, they prefer clothing that makes it easier to carry and move about. Working women have long surpassed the stereotype ideas of clothing. They seek simplicity and comfort. However, they do not let comfort tamper with style.
Shoulder Cut Tops:
By shoulder cut tops, I do not mean the shoulder t-shirts that we love. These are normal t-shirts having cut out portions for the shoulders popping out. If you really want to flaunt your shoulders, switch to tank tops.
Denim and Graphic leggings:
Camouflaged by the word ‘jeggings’, where the word ‘jeggings’ refers to the denim like elastic pants which are more inclined towards the denim side. The denim leggings I’m talking about are the stretchy, pocketless and buttonless leggings that made their way into the fashion market few years ago. Although for some time they gave a nice replacement to our dear jeans, they could not do it for long. Same goes for the graphic leggings which were considered stylish during the era of printed and patterned jeans.
Shredded Tops and Torn Jeans:
When we say that jeans can never get old, we refer to the fact that wearing even torn and ragged jeans is a trend. But no matter how much we love our old jeans, someday we will have to let it go. Even the shredded tops which once were a trendy outfit aren’t fashionable any more.
This is one of my favourite trends that made its mark since 2013. Irrespective of the age, this is adorned by every woman as an epitome of comfort and freedom. Although, this trend can be still followed with your casual outfits, wearing it all the time creates monotony and makes you unfashionable. So, why not try something different this summer?
These were some general yet significant styles required to be replaced with the new ones. So, next time you go shopping, you’ll know what to avoid. After reading about the changing trends, you might feel the need to renew your wardrobe totally. But it would be worth it!
