Internet Goliath Google may actualize its prestigious Project Loon, which is balloon based Internet access assistance, in various developing nations including India.
Google’s Todd Towe said that interestingly, while we were still in the pilot stage, we had been getting numerous requests from distinctive nations including India, which are keen to start the project.
In order to achieve the digital India mission, Ministry of Telecommunication may take help from Google. In Prime Minister Modi’s last visit to Google headquarter; google is ready to provide internet connection in many parts of India. Google has been started a pilot project by providing internet to 200 railway stations of India.
What is Loon
As per studies, 2/3rd of the global population does not use the internet. With the vision to connect with people of rural and remote areas and cover every nooks and crannies of the world, Google started a project loon to provide connections to all by the use of balloons. Now this Idea will bring people online.
These balloons drift in the stratosphere. This spot is twice as high as planes and the climate. Stratosphere is made of multiple layers of air in terms of density and every layer density change with the time. By cooperating with Telecommunications companies to share cellular coverage, we have empowered rural citizens to associate with the balloon network specifically from their telephones and other LTE based gadgets. The signal is then gone over the balloon coverage area and provide to the worldwide Internet on Earth.
Test of Project
With the beginning of 2016, the main three major telecom service providers in Indonesia will start testing Project Loon controlled Internet service. Throughout the following years, we’re trusting that Loon will put the fast LTE Internet network inside of span of more than 100 million Indonesians. This project is giving them access to the boundless knowledge, social, and economic chances of the Internet.
Pilot Project is Performing Well in Indonesia
In Indonesia today, 1 out of each 3 are associated with the web and a large portion of their network are apathetic. Big population lives in ranges without existing Internet system infrastructure. More than 17,000 islands are fully equipped with timber lands and mountains. It’s hard to run iways (fiber optic link) or telephone towers. Balloons act like skimming phone towers in the sky. Flying on the winds at heights twice as high as planes, all balloons pillar network coverage down to the ground. As one balloon floats out of reach, another move to cover this new place. We trust, this could help domestics network service providers the scope of their current coverage and reach further into villages and remote territories.
The Internet is still out of scope for an excess of citizens, yet Google is gaining ground. On the off chance that all goes fine, soon a large number of global populations will have the capacity to bring their thoughts, knowledge, society and organizations on the web. By then, the sky’s the point of confinement.
