Every woman has to deal with her set of hair problems, but one of the most annoying everyday problems is hair styling. Every morning before leaving for college or for work, the same old question lingers in your head. So what can I do with my hair today?
Things get worse when you have unwashed hair. Some days it gets hard to squeeze in time to have a shower, let alone the hair wash. You might feel a little let down by the whole affair and you might not feel as confident about yourself. But, here is where we step in. In the interest of all of us busy women, we’ve brought together great hairstyles that are easy and fast when your hair is really dirty!
The good old layered pony-tail
The good old layered pony-tail keeps the hair off the face, and the layers of hair hide the oily scalp. Pull your hair into a high or low pony. Addition of hair accessories such as scarfs, headbands, clips, or hair cuff for extra interest can look great too.
For alluring ‘just walked on the beach’ hair, you can use salt spray. These salt sprays are easily available in the market or you could just make it yourself at home using some seat salt and water. You just need to dampen your hair, spray it with your salt spray, hand scrunch and then let it dry. Perfect look for a perfect day!
Messy is the new perfect
Messy buns are one the hottest trends of the year. A quick and easy hair style when you’re on the go. Finger combing your hair into a loose, messy bun looks great anyday. If you still feel your bun might not withstand the hectic schedule of the day, then secure it with bobby-pins.
Sexy half French braids
French braid half of your hair to the nape of the neck, then pull the rest of the hair into a loose bun or low ponytail. These look sexy and elegant at the same time.
Bye Bye Greasiness
To hide those awful greasies around your face, braid the front sections of your hair, then secure the braid at the back. Or start the braid at the right side of your hair. Keep dropping strands as you braid the hair.
If you are the short hair type, you can go for a cute headband to divert attention. Style the hair as you normally would, then place your peppy headband where you want it. Avoid pushing it around.
Try the coif! Unwashed hair holds its shape perfectly and you can use this style on both short and long hair. Use your dry shampoo or baby powder to absorb oils and give a bit of volume. Then style hair and push into shape.
Some tips to keep in mind:
- Don’t brush your hair! Brushing it only makes the hair look greasy! If brushing is absolutely necessary, spray in some baby powder or dry shampoo before brushing it.
- Unwashed hair holds better, so you can add some curls into your hair.
- Most importantly, dry shampoo is very useful for unwashed hair. Keep a pack ready, it may come in handy.
